Session Description

Recent updates to the EPA’s Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) are reshaping how organizations assess, manage, and document risks associated with high-hazard organic solvents, including methylene chloride and TCE. These changes have significant implications for industrial hygiene exposure assessments, control strategies, substitution decisions, and compliance programs across laboratories, healthcare, construction, manufacturing, and research environments.

This joint ASSP–AIHA technical session brings together safety and IH professionals to explore how TSCA updates intersect with OSHA standards, IH best practices, and real-world operational challenges, with a focus on practical implementation and risk reduction.
