Dear New England AIHA Members,
Our friends and colleagues at the Greater Boston Chapter of ASSP have invited us to partner on an upcoming joint technical meeting, and we are pleased to encourage your participation.
Navigating Updated TSCA Regulations:
Managing Organic Solvent Exposure Risks in the Workplace
Thursday, March 26, 2026
4:00 – 6:00 PM
EH&E
180 Wells Ave, Suite 200
Newton, MA
.2 CEUs anticipated (ASSP & AIHA)
Recent updates to the EPA’s Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) establish new, regulatory requirements related to methylene chloride, TCE, and other high-hazard organic solvents. These changes carry important implications for industrial hygienists, particularly in the areas of exposure assessment, air monitoring strategy, control selection, documentation, and compliance planning.
This joint AIHA–ASSP session will provide:
• An overview of recent TSCA regulatory developments and enforcement trends
• A comparison of TSCA requirements with OSHA standards and established IH practice
• Practical sampling and exposure assessment considerations
• Case studies from academic and industrial settings
• Actionable steps to strengthen solvent management programs
Speakers:
Will Wade, CIH
Principal Consultant, EH&E
Simona Holacsek, CIH
Senior Industrial Hygienist, Tufts University
This session reflects the strong overlap between safety and industrial hygiene practice in our region. We encourage AIHA members who manage or support solvent-exposed operations to attend and take advantage of this collaborative learning opportunity.
Following the meeting, attendees are invited to continue the discussion over complimentary food and networking with a cash bar at Cook in Needham, located just a short distance from EH&E’s office.
Registration is being managed by the Greater Boston Chapter of ASSP:

We hope you will join us on March 26 for this timely and practical discussion.
Sincerely,
